The Studio On-Demand FAQs

Quick answers so you feel welcome, comfortable, & ready to move!

  • We keep things simple in the on-demand studio by using a variety of small and versatile props—no need for expensive or fancy equipment needed for a great workout!

    • One set of light dumbells (approx. 2-3 lbs)
    • One set of medium/heavy dumbells, (approx. 8-12 lb)
Looped resistance band (resistance level your choice)
Pilates ball (air-filled ball approx. 6-9 inches)
    • Long resistance cord or a size XL FlexKord for Human Reformer pilates classes (use code Ashlynn for 15% off)

Please note that props are always optional depending on your comfort level! You can also filter classes by prop or bodyweight-only in the on-demand studio to find the class that uses what you have at home!

  • At least one new class is added every week to keep your routine exciting and fresh! As a member, you’ll receive a Member Mail every week with info about new weekly release(s) and any other exciting updates.

  • If we’ve moved together in person before, you know I LOVE my popular pop, hip-hop, and rap music! However, licensing mainstream music for on-demand use is incredibly complex and very expensive, as multiple people and agencies typically own a piece of just one song. This means you won’t hear mainstream hits on-demand, but every track you do hear is legally licensed and handpicked just for us! ♡

I want our on-demand classes to feel as close to an in-person group fitness class as possible, so I spend a lot of time searching for each song, securing licenses, adjusting individual beats per minute, and mixing them into one seamless 45-minute playlist. And because I love a good beat, I promise our music still brings the energy!

Some are so catchy I've used them in-person, and you’ll probably start to recognize (and look forward to) a few studio favorites!

I try to create fresh playlists regularly, but if you hear a familiar playlist from class to class or have ever wondered why we don’t use mainstream music, that is why! 😊

  • You'll find a variety of class styles in the on-demand library, including Barre, Pumped Up Strength (beat-driven strength training), mat Pilates, and non-rhythmic formats like Tabata (20 seconds of work, 10 seconds of rest).

Having access to a variety of class formats not only keeps things fun and fresh—it’s also incredibly beneficial for your body. Moving in different ways helps build well-rounded strength, balance, and mobility.

Class lengths range from 10 to about 45 minutes, so you can choose the perfect workout to fit your schedule and energy level for the day!

  • 30-minute livestream classes are scheduled on a pop-up basis and are included in your monthly membership!

After you book class, you’ll receive a confirmation email that includes our class zoom link. You’ll receive the link via email again one hour before class starts, which will also include details about how to prepare for the class you booked and a referral link to invite a friend and both receive a month free!

  • First, WELCOME! I'm so excited and honored you’ve chosen to move with me.

This virtual studio was created to support a fun, healthy, and empowering relationship with movement—and all levels are truly welcome here. You’ll often hear me encourage you to listen to your body, take breaks, or choose options that feel best for you. You are the expert on what you need, and that matters more than following every move perfectly.

Most classes follow a group fitness format—upbeat, music-driven, and designed to leave you feeling strong, energized, and successful. If you're looking for a guided path to build strength, the Strength Series is a great place to begin. It’s designed to progress gradually and help you feel confident in your movement.

Above all, give yourself grace. Wobbles, balance checks, and rest breaks are not just normal—they're a sign your brain and body are building new connections and getting stronger. Even seasoned exercisers should and do experience these moments—that’s what we want, because that’s how growth happens!

  • The Recovery Barre (TRB) is a free movement community for all who are sober-curious, sober, or in long-term recovery from alcohol. TRB combines a relaxed recovery-style community meeting with a free/donation-based barre class.

Since TRB is a free/donation-based class, it operates separately from membership. Anyone can book TRB without payment or by sliding scale (donation) toward the movement portion of class if the participant feels led.

Livestream and local Grand Rapids classes are currently being scheduled, so if you’re interested in joining us, make sure you’re on the email list to stay updated!

  • You can self-cancel your membership at any time inside your account. I love moving together and want you to enjoy the virtual platform, but I understand that things change.
